After visiting the set now several times I was excited to see what the film would look like. Or maybe more importantly what Russel Crowe would like like as Robin Hood. I found this picture which looks to be taken over at Farnham woods of Russel as Robin. The 44-year-old sports a slimmed-down physique and a new close-cropped haircut to play the prince of thieves. Robin Hood Film Set 2009
The new Robin Hood film being directed by Ridley Scott has been scheduled for release in 2010 is being partly filmed in Lower Bourne woods about a 5 minute walk from where I live. There is a huge set currently being constructed in the woods. The opening scene of Gladiator the battle with the Germanians was also filmed here.
