Robin Hood Film Set 2009 part 7 (with vehicles)
by Harry Ford
So they have been filming now in Bourne Woods now for just over 3 weeks. I did however get the chance to get over to the set the day before they started filming. I took some more photographs of the near complete castle, village/town and even some vehicles including a prison wagon. I will try and get over the set again soon. I hear they have a boat on the lake at Virginia Waters and a village built there as well.
I would Just like to say a big thanks for all of your kind comments over the last few months. Thanks to all the sites for linking with my blog also. I am Glad you have enjoyed seeing the film sets progress.
This next photo was sent to me by someone who has also been visiting the set aswell. They had seen that part of the village had been recently burnt down and were kind enough to let me know by sending me this image. Thanks!
I’m guessing that’s why they had this over there aswellÂ

Thanks Harry for a great round of pics once again! Do you know when they’ll wrap at that location?
Love the detail and obvious craftsmanship and if they are paying attention to detail like this the film will be great!
Great pix! A friend of mine whose husband is working on the site said that they had burnt a lot of it and that it was completely sealed off when they were filming that so nobody could get near. Haven’t had a chance to go back recently and have no idea how much longer it’s going on for.
Harry, can’t tell you how much I enjoy those pics. Thx so much for sharing. Amazing! I just can’t get enough looking at that huge castle and cross. Marvelous! Right now I could only imagine how they’ll look like on the big screen. Not to mention that the castle will be burned at the end of the movie? Must be grand and spectacular view! And look at those battering ram. WOW!! Pls Harry, keep it coming.
Was at Virginia Waters yesterday and can confirm that there is a very impressive castle and boat. Filming is due to start today.
They are finishing at this location in September some time I was told. The veicles were great to see up close really beautiful.
[...] portcullis had been broken and burnt through with the help of the very large battering ram seen earlier on in my blogs. If you look closely enough the earth is scattered with many arrows [...]
I live on the edge of Windsor great park and was able to see an amazing set built by bears rails sadly couldn’t get any photos!! I frequently walk my dog by the sets hereabd by Virginia water and enjoy seeing the progress of the sets and I love your photos to see the same pieces of set that were by my house a few months ago now by yours!!
