Robin Hood Film Set 2009 part 8

Here is my latest set of photographs from the Robin Hood film set. I had been hearing that lot of day and night scenes have been filmed recently. So wasn’t surprised to find alot had been going on. I found a whole host of tents and flags below the castle this trip. I think the largest of the tents made from blue and gold colours had Richard the Lionhearts flags flying (please correct me if I’m wrong). Many other coloured flags joined the army camps set up. If anybody can recognise any of the flags and who they belonged to I would be very interested indeed. Read the rest of this entry »

Fubra – focused on you (logo painting timelapse)

Following on from my blog on Fubra.com I have created an extended timelapse video of our Fubra logo painting. With the help of Jonathon we managed to film the whole 6 hours of painting and cram it down to a timelapse video of 1minute 50 seconds. Michael Jackson Dance Tribute – Stockholm

As most of you will probably agree the reaction of the people around the world has been by majority really good apart from the odd typical tabloid cr*p about how Michael was frozen at night and how he has left his children in the capable hands OF Bubbles the monkey.

Anyhow I found this video on Youtube and thought it an awesome tribute to MJ. It is by a street dance group called Bounce. More than 300 dancers meet, and learn the choreography in 30 min. Less than 1 hour later they perform it. Hopefully we’ll see more of this around the world soon! It really is a feel good video… ENJOY! Read the rest of this entry »

Robin Hood Film Set 2009 part 7 (with vehicles)

So they have been filming now in Bourne Woods now for just over 3 weeks. I did however get the chance to get over to the set the day before they started filming. I took some more photographs of the near complete castle, village/town and even some vehicles including a prison wagon. I will try and get over the set again soon. I hear they have a boat on the lake at Virginia Waters and a village built there as well.

I would Just like to say a big thanks for all of your kind comments over the last few months. Thanks to all the sites for linking with my blog also. I am Glad you have enjoyed seeing the film sets progress. Read the rest of this entry »

H.H.Ford Family Butcher, Bedfont

My dad was browsing through some photos this morning choosing which ones to send to a friend of his who is making a book on the history of Bedfont. My dad grew up in Bedfont and and lived there untill I was born when shortly after him and my mum moved to Surrey where I still live today. With a lot of blogs I find them all very impersonal that’s why I have illustrated my own with things I enjoy doing and create blog posts with events and things that mean a lot to me.

These photos are mostly of my Grandad Anthony Tony Ford’s Butchers shop (H.H. FORD Butchers) and of Bedfont. The shop was in my family for just over 105 years my birthday being on it’s 100th year. It was well known in the area for being a family butcher. I remember the shop very well and have many fond memories of being with my dad and grandad eating ham straight from the slicer. I was told that my grandad would weigh me on thescales in front of his customers and sit me on the counter as he served. Read the rest of this entry »
